This Policy explains how we, our business affiliates and our services providers use cookies and related technologies in the course of managing and providing our online services and our communications to you. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases, we may use cookies and related technologies described in this Policy to gather personal information, or to gather information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

Cookies are small data files stored on your computer that allows us, our third-party affiliates, and our providers to gather certain information about your interactions with our websites, email communications, and other online services.  We, our third-party affiliates, and our providers may also use additional, related technologies such as pixels, embedded scripts, web beacons, location-identifying technologies and logging technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to gather this information.

We, our third-party affiliates, and our providers may use cookies to automatically gather certain types of usage information about how you access and use our services when you interact with our email communications, visit our websites, or otherwise engage with us through a computer or mobile device. Some examples of such information include your IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of your visit, and more related information. To help us measure usage and activity trends for our online services and better understand our customer base, we may gather analytics data or use third-party analytics tools.

When you use our websites and online services, our third-party affiliates and providers may also gather personal information about your online behaviors over time and across various websites.

We use third party advertising companies and participate in interest-based advertising to better serve you targeted advertisements based on your browsing history. We allow third party online advertising networks, third-party services, and social media companies to gather information about your use of our online services over time so that they may play or display ads for our services on other websites and on other devices you may use. Typically, the information used for interest-based advertising is collected using tracking technologies, such as  embedded scripts, cookies, web beacons, location-identifying technologies, and comparable technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”), which recognize the device you are using and gather information. Such information may include click stream data, browser type, date and time you visited the site, AdID, precise geolocation and other information. We may share a common account identifier with our third-party advertising affiliates to help identify you across devices. We and our third-party affiliates use this information to make the advertisements you see online more pertinent to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services like attribution, reporting, market research and analytics. We may also use services provided by third parties to provide targeted ads to you and others on such platforms as social media. To do so we may provide a hashed version of your email address or other data to the platform provider.

We may use social media widgets from time to time for advertising.  These services may include social media features, such as Pinterest, the Facebook Like button, Twitter, Instagram, or other widgets. These social media firms may recognize you and gather data about your interaction with our services, and they in turn may place a cookie or employ other tracking technologies. Your interactions with those features are governed by the privacy policies of those firms.

We present targeted advertising to you through social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and additional social media forums. These firms have interest-based advertising programs that allow us to target advertisements to users who have shown interest in our services while those users are on the social media platform, or to groups of other users who share comparable traits, such as commercial interests and demographics. We may share a unique identifier (like a user ID or hashed email address) with these platform providers, or they may gather data from our website visitors using a first-party pixel, in order to target advertising to you or to a custom audience on the social media platform. These advertisements are governed by the privacy policies of those social media firms that provide them. If you do not wish to receive targeted ads on your social networks, you may be able to modify your advertising preferences through your social networks’ settings.

We may use third-party service affiliates to provide advertising services. We will attempt to keep this list updated when or if we collaborate with new affiliates to offer you choices about the gathering of your data. However, as affiliates change and new technologies become available, this list may not always reflect our current affiliates as it is likely to change over time.

We may use Google Analytics to recognize you and link the devices you utilize when you visit our website or use our services on your browser or mobile device, log in to your account on our services, or otherwise interact with us.  We share a unique identifier, such as a user ID or hashed email address, with Google to enable this service. Using Google Analytics allows us to better understand how our users interact with our services so we can better tailor our advertisements and content to you.

We may also use certain forms of display advertising and other advanced elements using Google Analytics, like Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, Remarketing with Google Analytics, and the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integration. These elements enable us to use first-party cookies (like the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (like the DoubleClick advertising cookie) or other third-party cookies together to advise, improve, and display ads based on your previous visits to the Service.  You may modify your advertising preferences or opt-out of certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager.

We may use the data gathered through cookies to: (a) distinguish new or current customers and remember data to save you from having to re-enter it during your current or future visits to our website or online services; (b) provide and track the effectiveness of our website and online services; (c) track online usage and activities of our website and online services; (d) diagnose errors and issues with our website and online services; (e) further plan for and improve our online services; and (f) provide you with interest-based or targeted advertising.  We and our advertising affiliates also use the data we gather using cookies to understand your browsing activities (this includes across unaffiliated third-party sites) so that we may provide ads and data about products and services that may be of interest to you.

Most browsers permit you to modify your browser settings to: (i) alert you when you receive a cookie, which lets you choose whether to accept it or not; (ii) disable existing cookies; or (iii) set your browser to automatically reject cookies. Preventing or removing cookies may negatively impact your experience using the Service since some features and services may not work properly. Depending on your mobile device and operating system, you may not be able to remove or prevent all tracking technologies.

If you wish to opt out of receiving online interest-based advertisements on mobile apps, please visit http://www.aboutads.info/appchoices.

Please note that opting out of receiving interest-based advertisements does not mean you will no longer see advertisements from us or on our online services, but rather, the online ads that you do see should not be based on your interests.  We are not responsible for the effectiveness of, or compliance with, any third-parties’ opt-out options or programs or the accuracy of their statements regarding their programs. Furthermore, third parties may still utilize cookies to gather data about your use of our online services, including for analytics and fraud prevention as well as any other purpose permitted under the DAA’s Principles.
